# Manage competitors in Vestis Atlas

> Add, rename, merge and stop counting the competitor brands that appear in the same AI answers as you.

The **Competitors** tab lists the other brands that AI assistants mention in the same answers as you. You do not need to fill it in: Atlas builds the list from your visibility checks. Use it to fix a name, join two spellings of one brand or stop counting a shop that is not really a rival.

> The **Competitors** tab appears only when AI visibility is switched on for your workspace.

## Read the list

Brands are split into two groups:

- **Counted** brands are included in your results, for example under **Who else the AI recommends**. When none are counted, Atlas shows **Nothing is being counted right now.**
- **Not counted** brands are left out. Marketplaces, shops and magazines start here, because they crowd out the brands you actually compete with.

Each row shows a type (**Marketplace**, **Magazine or blog** or **Not a brand**), whether it is **Counted** or **Not counted**, and **Added by you** if you created it. **Also seen as** lists other names Atlas has merged into the row.

With no competitors yet, Atlas shows: run a check on the AI visibility page and the brands that come up alongside you appear here on their own.

## Add a competitor

1. **Enter the brand**
   In **Brand name**, enter the brand you want to watch. In **Their website (optional)**, add their website if you know it.

   

2. **Click "Add"**
   Click **Add**. The button shows **Adding…** while it saves.

   

## Change a competitor

1. **Stop or start counting**
   Click **Stop counting** on a counted row, or **Count this one** on a row under **Not counted**.

   

2. **Fix the name or website**
   Edit **Name** or **Their website (comma separated)**, then click **Save**. Adding their website lets Atlas tell you when an assistant links to their page instead of yours. **Save** is disabled until you change something.

   

3. **Merge two spellings**
   Select the other brand in **Same as another brand…**, then click **Merge**. The button shows **Merging…** while it works.

   

If the list cannot load, Atlas shows **Couldn't load your competitors**. Refresh to try again.
