# Create order

> The Create Order in the Style Production Order contain key information such as order date, supplier, and production schedule.

**The Create Order** page in the Style Production Order contains key information such as order date, supplier, and production schedule.

**Where to find it:** Collection & Styles → Styles → (your style) → Production → Create Order

**Requires:** permission `UPDATE_PRODUCT,VIEW_BRAND_PRODUCTION,VIEW_STYLE`

1. **Open Create Order**
   On the Production page of the style, click the **Create Order** tab. If the style has no production orders yet, you can also click **+ Add New** on the Production Details page.

2. **Select the order category**
   In the **Order Category** field, choose the appropriate category of the production order (for example: Retail). Type a new name to add your own category.

3. **Select the priority**
   In the **Priority** field, choose the appropriate order priority (for example: High).

4. **Select the supplier**
   In the **Supplier / Factory** field, choose the appropriate supplier of the production order. The supplier of the style is preselected. Choosing a supplier fills in its VAT information when the supplier has any.

5. **Select the payment terms**
   Select the **Payment Terms** of the order to manage supplier payments and maintain clear financial agreements.

6. **Enter the order reference**
   In the **Order Name / Reference** field, type in a custom reference for the order.

7. **Check the order date**
   The **Order Date** is automatically filled with today's date. Users can **modify** it by selecting a new date using the calendar picker.

8. **Select the stock destination**
   In the **Stock Destination** field, choose **Company Stock** or **Reserved for Buyer**. The **Buyer Name** field below is marked as required for **Reserved for Buyer** orders. Type in the buyer name, or check **Select from showroom buyers** and select a buyer in **Showroom Buyer**.

9. **Set the production timeline**
   Select the **Production Start**, **Production End**, and **Ex-Factory Date** using the calendar picker to record and manage the production timeline accurately. **Production End** opens once you have chosen **Production Start**, and **Ex-Factory Date** once both dates are set; neither can be earlier than the dates before it.

10. **Select the shipment method**
    Select the **Shipment Method** for the order to determine how the goods will be delivered.

11. **Select the delivery address**
    Select the **Delivery Address** from the dropdown list to identify and allocate the appropriate product stock (for example, Main Warehouse).

12. **Complete the VAT information**
    In the **VAT Information** section, enter the **Default VAT Rate (%)**, **VAT Registration Number** and **TAX Jurisdiction (Country/State)**, then select the appropriate **Tax Status**: **Registered**, **Exempt** or **Special**.

13. **Select the available colours**
    Under **Available Colors**, click each colour you want to order. The colour buttons stay disabled while the FOB prices load. If the prices cannot load, the page says "FOB prices unavailable." and offers **Retry**.

14. **Enter the quantities**
    Under **Quantities by Color & Size**, enter the quantity for each colour and size. Each colour shows its **FOB Price** per unit and its total units and value. Use the bin icon to remove a colour.

15. **Enter the production notes**
    In **Production Notes**, enter any additional special instructions for the production order.

16. **Click "Create Production Order"**
    Click **Create Production Order** to create the order. The message "Production order created successfully" confirms it and the Production Details page opens.

**Total Quantity** and **Total Value** under the quantities update as you type. The value uses the FOB price of each colour and your brand's currency.
