# Create your first brand

> Create a brand when your account is not part of any brand yet, and land on its Home page.

If your account does not belong to any brand yet, Vestis Labs asks you to create one. The page says **You are not a part of any brand yet. Create a brand to get started.**

**Requires:** permission `CREATE_BRAND`

> [!IMPORTANT]
> You need the permission to create brands. Without it the page shows **Access Restricted** and **You do not have permission to create a brand.**

## Create the brand

1. **Add a photo (optional)**
   In the **Photo** area, upload a picture for the brand. The page notes the allowed types (*.jpeg, *.jpg, *.png, *.gif) and the size limit.

   

2. **Enter the name**
   Type the brand name in **Name**. This field is required.

3. **Enter the identification (optional)**
   Type any reference for the brand in **Identification**.

4. **Select the country**
   In **Country**, select **Select country** and choose the country. This field is required.

5. **Select the base currency (optional)**
   In **Base Currency**, select the currency your brand works in.

6. **Enter the website (optional)**
   Type your address in **Website**.

   

7. **Click "Create Brand"**
   Click **Create Brand**. The button reads **Creating...** while the brand is being saved.

A **Brand created successfully** message appears and you are taken to the **Home** page of the new brand.
