# Guided tour and setup

> Use the Complete Your Setup window and the Getting Started guided tour to configure your brand and create your first collection, style and materials.

New brands get two helpers that walk you through the first steps: **Complete Your Setup** configures your brand, and **Getting Started** (the guided tour) takes you through creating your first collection, style and materials.

**Where to find it:** Home
**Requires:** permission `UPDATE_BRAND,UPDATE_USER,CREATE_SUPPLIER`

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Both helpers are shown only to users who hold the permissions to update the brand, update users and create suppliers, and only when onboarding is switched on for your brand. They appear on **Home** and in the left sidebar footer. The sidebar versions show only while the sidebar is expanded.

## Complete your setup

The setup card **Welcome to Vestis Labs!** on **Home** and the **Complete Your Setup** card in the sidebar both open the same window. The card shows your progress, for example 1/4 steps.

1. **Click "Start Setup"**
   Click **Start Setup**. If you have already finished some steps, the button reads **Continue Setup** and opens the first step you have not finished.

   

2. **Work through the steps**
   The **Complete Your Setup** window has four steps, listed on the left:
   - **Set your personal preferences**: time zone, date format, currency and units.
   - **Add your company details**: brand or studio name, logo, address and locations.
   - **Collaborate with your team**: add teammates to your workspace and assign roles.
   - **Connect with suppliers**: link suppliers and start building your material network.

3. **Click "Next"**
   Click **Next** to save a step and move on. Click **Back** to return to the previous step, or **Skip This Step** to move on without saving it. You can also click a step in the list to jump to it.

   

4. **Click "Finish"**
   On the last step the button reads **Finish**. The window shows *You're all set!* and closes.

## Follow the guided tour

After setup is finished, a **Getting Started** card appears on **Home**. It shows how many items are completed, for example 1 of 4, and a progress bar. **Complete initial setup** is already ticked. Click the arrow on the card to collapse or expand it.

The tour steps are:

- **Create your first collection**: start organising your designs and styles.
- **Add styles to your collection**: upload designs and create style specifications.
- **Set up materials library**: add fabrics, trims and other materials.
- **Create your first tech pack**: build detailed specifications for production.

1. **Click "Start Guided Tour"**
   Click **Start Guided Tour** at the bottom of the card, or **Complete Your Guided Tour** in the sidebar. If you have already completed a step, the button reads **Continue Guided Tour**. The window opens on the first step you have not done.

   

2. **Read the step**
   The window shows *Step 1 of 4*, the step name and a short explanation.

3. **Click the main button**
   Click the button named after the step: **Create My First Collection**, **Add My First Style**, **Set Up Materials Library** or **Create My First Tech Pack**. You land on the matching create page.

4. **Move between steps**
   Click **See Next Step** to look at the following step, or **Back** to return. Click **Skip Tour** to dismiss the tour.

You can also click a step in the card itself to go straight to its create page.

> [!NOTE]
> **Add My First Style** needs a collection. If you have none, a **Collection Required** dialog asks whether to create one first, with **Cancel** and **Create Collection** buttons. If you have several collections, you choose which one to add the style to.

> [!NOTE]
> The **Getting Started** card and the sidebar card disappear once you have completed the first three tour steps.
