# Home dashboard

> Find your way around the Home page, from quick actions and recent work to the status cards and the admin-managed widgets.

**Home** is the first page you see after you sign in. It gets you into your work quickly: start something new, jump back into what you were editing, or check where your styles stand.

## How you arrive on Home

After sign-in, Vestis Labs opens **Home** for the brand you used last. If that brand is no longer available to you, it opens the first active brand on your account. If your account has no active brand, the page shows *No brands found*. To change brand later, see [Managing multiple brands](https://docs.vestislabs.com/management/managing-multiple-brands/).

## What is on Home

From top to bottom, the page can show the following. Some blocks only appear for some users or brands.

- **Welcome to Vestis Labs!** setup card, with **Start Setup** or **Continue Setup**. See [Guided tour and setup](https://docs.vestislabs.com/getting-started/guided-tour/).
- **Getting Started** progress card, with **Start Guided Tour** or **Continue Guided Tour**. See [Guided tour and setup](https://docs.vestislabs.com/getting-started/guided-tour/).
- **Start Managing Your Collections with AI**, three beta shortcuts.
- **Quick Actions**, three manual shortcuts.
- **Continue Where You Left Off**, your recent work.
- Widgets added by your admins.
- Three status cards: **Active Project**, **Summary** and **Status Summaries**.

## Start managing your collections with AI

This row appears only when the AI collection and style feature is switched on for your brand. Each card is marked **Beta**.

1. **Choose a shortcut**
   Click **Create A Collection**, **Create A Style** or **Create A Library Item**.

   

2. **Pick a collection for a style**
   For **Create A Style**, the **Create Style With AI** window asks you to **Choose a Collection**. Select the collection where the new style should go. If your brand has no collection yet, the collection creation window opens first.

You continue in the AI window for that item. Review what it generates and refine it by hand. Under the cards, *Or start your collections and styles manually* leads to Quick Actions.

## Quick Actions

Quick Actions are the manual way to create core records. Each card also has a **Watch video** link that opens a short walkthrough in a new tab.

- **Create Collection** opens the new collection page.
- **Create Style** opens a **Create Style** window where you **Choose a Collection**. If you have no collections yet, it opens the **Collection** page instead.
- **Materials Library** opens the page to create a new library item.

## Continue where you left off

This block lists up to four of the items you edited most recently, each with *Edited* and how long ago, for example *Edited 2 hours ago*. It can show styles, collections, materials library items, measurements and settings pages. Click a card to return to the exact place you left, for a style that includes the tab you were on, such as **Costs** or **Bill of Material**. The block is hidden if you have no recent activity.

## Status cards

Three cards summarise your styles.

- **Active Project** shows the number of **Collection** and **Styles**.
- **Summary** shows **Styles Under Development** and **Style Completed**.
- **Status Summaries** shows how many styles are at each milestone, for example **Style created**, **Style submitted**, **Style approved**, prototype, 3D sample, tech pack and visualisation approvals, and **Style completed**. Milestones with no styles are left out.

## Customise the Home widgets

Admins can add text and video widgets to **Home**, for example reminders or training videos. Only users with the Admin role see the **Customize** button.

1. **Click "Customize"**
   Click **Customize** above the status cards.

2. **Click "Add Widget"**
   Click **Add Widget** and select **Text** or **Video**.

   

3. **Write the content**
   Type over the widget title and the text under it. For a video, click the pencil icon on the widget and enter a **Youtube Embed URL**. The widget shows *Please provide a Youtube Embed URL* to admins until you do, and *This video is not available for public viewing* to everyone.

4. **Arrange the widgets**
   Drag a widget to move it. The trash icon, labelled **Delete widget**, removes it after you confirm the **Delete Widget** dialog.

5. **Click "Save"**
   Click **Save** to publish. Changes are not saved until you do. Click **Discard** and confirm **Discard Changes** to throw them away.
