Atlas can write Product FAQs: customer questions and answers built from your approved product facts. Only approved FAQs are published, so nothing goes live until you say so.

Products(product name)Copy & FAQs

Before you start

  • The product must be Approved. FAQs are not shown on products that are still waiting for review.
  • Generating FAQs counts against your Customer questions allowance on the Billing page.

Generate the FAQs

  1. Open the Copy & FAQs tab

Open an approved product and click the Copy & FAQs tab.

  2. Click "Generate Product FAQs"

Under No FAQs yet, click Generate Product FAQs. The button shows Generating… while Atlas writes them.

  3. Read the generation notes

If Atlas shows Generation notes, read them. They say when there was not enough product data to fill a section, when some questions were discarded and when the second claim check could not run. Add the missing facts to the product to get stronger questions.

If generation fails, Atlas shows Could not generate FAQs with the reason.

The FAQs are grouped into three sections: Discovery & suitability, Compare options and Purchase details. Each section heading shows how many FAQs it holds, or empty. A section can stay empty when the product does not have the facts it needs.

Review and approve the FAQs

Each FAQ shows a status: Draft, Approved or Needs review. Needs review means the FAQ was approved and then something changed, such as the product facts. It stops publishing until you keep, edit or regenerate it.

  1. Approve one FAQ

Click Approve under a question. Click Unapprove to take it back.

  2. Approve all drafts

Click Approve all followed by the number of FAQs still waiting. The summary line then reads All … approved · They are included when you publish.

  3. Edit a FAQ

Click Edit, change the Question or Answer, then click Save. Saving turns an approved FAQ back into a draft, so you need to approve it again.

  4. Use the More actions menu

Click More actions on a FAQ to choose Rewrite this answer, Move to section or Delete.

  5. Add your own question

In a section, click Add, enter a customer question and the answer, then click Add question. Click Cancel to close the form.

  6. Regenerate

Click Regenerate on a section to rewrite only that section, or Regenerate all at the top to rewrite everything.

Note

Questions you write yourself are never replaced when Atlas regenerates.

Use the approved FAQs on your page

When at least one FAQ is approved, a Published bar shows how many FAQs are in the product data AI assistants read. Click Text or HTML to copy the FAQs, or Preview to open them in a new tab. With no approved FAQs, the bar reads Approve the FAQs you want to include on your product page when publishing.

Turn FAQs into tracking questions

This step appears only when AI visibility is switched on for your workspace.

  1. Select FAQs

Check Select for visibility tracking on the questions you want to track. Three to eight questions per product works best.

  2. Click "Create tracking prompts"

In the bar at the bottom, click Create tracking prompts. Click Clear to deselect.

  3. Write the questions

In Track these questions, click Write the questions. For each FAQ Atlas writes one question that does not name your brand and one that does.

  4. Choose a campaign and add

Clear any question you do not want with Include this question, pick a campaign under Add to campaign (or click New to create one), then click Add followed by the number of questions.

Important

Leave your brand name out of the No brand named questions. They measure whether a shopper who has never heard of you can still find your product.
