Place and track a production order

Create a production order, get it confirmed by the supplier, update its dates and status, and follow the shipment until it arrives.

This journey takes you from an approved style to goods in transit. Production orders keep the agreed dates, the supplier's confirmation, the actual dates and the shipping in one place.

Before you start

  • Approved styles with a tech pack and costs.
  • A supplier or factory, and a warehouse to deliver to.

The steps

  1. Create production order Start a production order.
  2. Select style for production order Choose the styles and colours to produce.
  3. Order details in production order Fill in the order details.
  4. Review and confirmation production order Review the order and confirm it.
  5. Request supplier confirmation Ask the supplier to confirm the order.
  6. Create and manage purchase orders Create and manage the purchase order.
  7. Update the production status Update the production status as work progresses.
  8. Update actual production dates Record the actual dates.
  9. Override the production health Override the health when you know better than the dates.
  10. Create a shipment Create the shipment when goods leave the factory.
  11. Track active shipments Follow active shipments.
  12. Review delivered shipments Review delivered shipments.
  13. Production dashboard Read the production dashboard.

  8. Update actual production datesRecord when production really started, finished and left the factory, so the order timeline and production health stay accurate.
  9. Override the production healthUnderstand the On Track, At Risk and Delayed health of a production order, check a partial issue, and override the calculated health with a reason.Under review
  10. Create a shipmentCreate a shipment for one or more production orders from a factory, split it across destinations, and add the carrier, dates and cost.
  11. Track active shipmentsFollow shipments that are being prepared or in transit in a table or kanban board, filter and sort them, open their details, edit them and track the package.
  12. Review delivered shipmentsSee every shipment that has reached its destination, search and filter the list, and open the shipment details and documents.
