Use Import catalog to bring many products into Vestis Atlas at once from a spreadsheet, with an optional zip of photos. Each import becomes a batch you can follow until every product is ready.

ProductsImport

Before you start

  • Save your products as a .csv file. The first row must be column headers.
  • Every row needs a SKU, your stable style number. Atlas matches on it, so importing the same SKU again updates that product instead of creating a duplicate.
  • Optional columns are title, mainCategory, subCategory, gender and barcode. Gender is one of mens, womens, unisex or kids; Atlas also reads the usual spellings such as Men, Male, Ladies and Boys.
  • Categories are matched to your own category list. Anything Atlas cannot read is left blank and listed in the import report, and the product still imports.
  • Photos go in a separate .zip. Name each photo after its SKU with the shot type: SKU_front.jpg, SKU_back.jpg, SKU_detail.jpg.

Tip

Click Download template on the import page for a ready-made CSV with the correct column headers.

Import the catalogue

  1. Open Import catalog

On the Products page, click Import at the top right. Click Back to dashboard to leave without importing.

  2. Choose your CSV

Under Product CSV, click Choose a .csv file and select your file. Atlas reads the headers and moves to the next step.

  3. Map your columns

Under Map columns, pick which of your columns holds SKU, Title, Category, Sub-category, Gender and Barcode. Atlas guesses from common names. Leave a field on Not mapped to skip it. If SKU is not mapped Atlas shows Map a column to SKU to continue.

  4. Add your photos (optional)

Under Images (optional), click Choose a .zip file (optional) and select your zip.

  5. Decide about overwriting

Leave Override existing values. unchecked to only fill empty fields on a re-import. Atlas never touches approved products or barcodes that way. Check it to overwrite non-empty fields on unapproved products.

  6. Check your allowance

When your file is read, a notice shows how many enrichments you have left this period. If you import more products than you have left, the extra products still import and wait for capacity. Click Upgrade to open Billing.

  7. Click "Import catalog"

Click Import catalog. The button shows Importing… while it works, then you land on the batch page.

If the import fails, Atlas shows Couldn't import this catalog with the reason.

Follow the batch

The batch page is named after your file and shows how many rows were imported and how many were rejected. A message at the top tells you what happened to the products:

MessageWhat it means
imported, skipped (plan limit)Your allowance ran out, so the other products were not imported. Click Upgrade plan.
imported, could not start enrichingSome products have no usable photo. Add a photo in your source and import again.
couldn't be importedSome rows were rejected. Everything else imported normally. Click Download error report.
values could not be readProducts imported, but some values were left blank or kept as you typed them. Click Download report.
enriching, awaiting upgradeProducts wait for allowance. Click Upgrade plan or Enrich waiting products.
products have no image to enrichName each photo SKU_front.jpg, SKU_back.jpg or SKU_detail.jpg, then click Re-run import with images.

Products are grouped by stage: Enriching, Needs review, Approved, Failed, Waiting on your plan and Waiting on images. Each product shows ready when it is waiting for you or failed when Atlas could not read it.

  1. Wait for enrichment

The page updates on its own while products are in progress.

  2. Approve what is ready

Click Approve followed by the number of ready products, for example Approve 12 ready. Atlas shows Products approved and how many were skipped or failed. When there is nothing to approve the button reads Nothing to approve.

  3. Export the batch

Click CSV for a spreadsheet or Data file for one record per line (JSONL).

Tip

Open a product from the batch to review it in detail before you approve it.
