Run a sampling round

Request samples for a style or a material, follow the shipment, and keep every sample's status up to date.

Use this journey each time you ask a supplier for a sample: a prototype, a lab dip or a fitting sample. It covers the request, the status you maintain while the sample is made, and the shipment you track on the way back.

Before you start

  • A style with a tech pack, or a material in your library.
  • A supplier or factory to send the request to.

The steps

  1. Sampling dashboard Read the sampling dashboard to see where every sample stands.
  2. Create sampling Create a sample request for a style or a material.
  3. Print the sample order sheet Print the sample order sheet to send with the request.
  4. Sample details Open a sample to see its details and history.
  5. Manage sampling statuses Move each sample through its statuses.
  6. Update several samples at once Update several samples at once.
  7. Track sample shipments Track the shipments that bring samples back.
  8. Sample shipment documents Keep the shipping documents with the shipment.
  9. Sample shipment analytics Review how long shipments take.
